The field trial was carried out at Research farm of
Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jagatpura (Jaipur) to evaluate the effect of
sulphur and zinc levels on sesame crop. The experiment was laid out in
randomized block design using four levels each of sulphur (Control, 20, 40 and
60 kg/ha) & zinc (0, 2.5, 5.0 and 7.5 kg/ha) replicated thrice. The results
revealed that increasing levels of sulphur up to 40 kg/ha and zinc up to 5
kg/ha significantly improved the growth parameters, yield attributes and yields
(822 and 817 kg/ha, respectively) of sesame and thus recommended for higher
productivity of crop under semi arid conditions.
