Evaluating water quality stands as a crucial instrument for fostering sustainable development and furnishes vital insights for effective water management. When determining the suitability of water for irrigation, it becomes imperative to possess comprehensive knowledge pertaining to both the quantity and quality of the water resource. Therefore, a study was conducted in the Chauth Ka Barwara block of Sawai madhopurdistrict, Rajasthan, during 2023-2024 to assess the groundwater quality for irrigation. To ascertain groundwater quality, 30 water samples were collected from 6 different villages [Jola (V1), Manpur (V2), Rajwana (V3), Ratanpura (V4), Roopnagar (V5) and Shiwar (V6)], andanalyzed for various water quality parameters, including pH, EC, cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+), and anions (CO32-, HCO3,- Cl-SO42-). Irrigation water quality indices such as SAR, RSC, SSP, PI, and KR were also calculated for these samples. The pH, EC, Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+ SAR, RSC, SSP, KR, and PI in groundwater ranged from 6-8.6, 0.14-0.88dS m-1, 2.88-8meq L-1, 1.76-4.88meq L-1, 5.55-25.80meq L-1, 1- 18meq L-1, 34.12-76.65m mol/L, 0.02-25.75meq L-1, 0.02-25.75meq L-1, 34.12-76.65meq L-1, and 56.99-98.31%, respectively.
