An experiment was conducted at Agronomy Research Farm, Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Ayodhya (U.P.) during the Rabi season of 2019-20 and 2020-21. The experiment was laid out in a split-plot design having three Sowing methods i.e. M1: Conventional (Sowing after the cleaning of residue), M2: Sowing with a happy seeder, and M3: Sowing after residue incorporation were allotted as the main plot, and three irrigation schedules i.e. I1: 03 Irrigation (CRI, LJ, and milking stage), I2: 04 Irrigation (CRI, Tillering, LJ and milking stage), I3: 05 Irrigation (CRI, Tillering, LJ, Milking and dough stage) kept as subplot. The experiment was replicated three times on silty loam in texture soil and medium in fertility status having pH (8.32 and 8.26), organic carbon (0.31 and 0.32%), EC (0.28 and 0.30) dsm-1. The results revealed that the maximum plant height of wheat was recorded under sowing with a happy seeder while it was significantly higher than Conventional (Sowing after cleaning of residue). Sowing with a happy seeder recorded considerably higher dry matter accumulation than conventional sowing after residue cleaning while at par with sowing after residue incorporation during booth years of experimentation.
