Abstract
The use of nano urea and nano DAP in sugarcane crop is a modern nutrient management method that can enhance cane productivity and fertilizer use efficiency, reduce losses due to leaching and vitalization and soil environment when used correctly. An experiment was conducted in randomized block design with three replications to find out the effect of Nano DAP, Nano urea, and Sagarika on growth, yield and quality of sugarcane in spring season. It was consisted in eight treatments i.e. T1- 100 per cent recommended dose of NPK through inorganic (Conventional),T2- 100 per cent recommended dose of P2O5 and K2O through inorganic+spraying nano urea@5ml/litre of water at 60 DAP and 90 DAP, T3-50 per cent recommended dose of P2O5 and K2O through inorganic +sett treatment with nano DAP @ 5ml/litre water+spraying nano DAP and nano urea@ 5ml/litre water at 60 DAP+spraying of nano urea@5 ml/liter water and Sakariga@5 ml/liter of water at 90 DAP (Days after planting), T4- Sett treatment with nano DAP @ 5ml/litre water +spraying Nano DAP and Nano urea @5 ml/liter of water at 60 DAP + spraying of Nano DAP and Nano urea @ 5ml/liter and Sagarika@5 ml/liter of water at 90DAP, T5- Sett treatment with nano DAP @ 5ml/litre water +spraying Nano DAP and Nano urea @5 ml/liter of water at 60 DAP + spraying of Nano DAP and Nano urea @ 5ml/liter and Sagarika@5 ml/liter of water at 90DAP and 120 DAP,T6- Sett treatmrnt with nano DAP@5 ml/liter of water +spraying of water soluble fertilizer (19:19:19 N:P:K) @ 1.0kg in 100 liter water and nano urea @ 5 ml/liter of water at 60 and 90 DAP, T7- Sett treatmrnt with nano DAP@5 ml/liter of water +spraying of water soluble fertilizer (19:19:19 N:P:K) @ 1.0kg in 100 liter water and nano urea @ 5 ml/liter of water at 60, 90 and 120DAP and T8- Conventional + Sagarika@ 25 kg ha-1. The soil of the experimental plot was medium in organic carbon, low in available phosphorus and potash with pH 7.86. On the basis of mean data of two years showed that germination and commercial cane sugar per cent were not affected significantly by various sources of plant nutrients treatments. Conventional 100 percent RDF+ sagarika@ 25 kg ha-1 practice produced significantly higher shoot population (156.75 thousand ha-1) and NMC (122.32 thousand ha-1) over remaining treatments except conventional 100 percent RDF (T1). Conventional + sagarika@ 25 kg ha-1 treatment produced significantly higher cane yield (86.13 t ha-1) but statically at par with T1 (conventional 100 percent RDF treatment). The effect of sett treatment with nano-DAP and spraying of nano urea on sugarcane productivity was not obtained significantly desired results if totally recommended dose of nutrient applied through nano urea and nano DAP fertilizer in comparison with conventional 100 percent RDF (81.66 t/ha). Use nano version fertilizer as a supplement not a 100 percent replacement basal dose. 100 per cent recommended dose of P2O5 and K2O through inorganic+spraying nano urea@5ml/litre of water at 60 DAP and 90 DAP treatment produced yield (75.44 t/ha) which was at par with 100 percent RDF conventional practice.
