Performance of different levels of fertilizers along with biofertilizers on growth and yield of late sown wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Halge SS, Jakku Prasanna, Ghodke PB, Mirza IAB and Bhambere HD

The field experiment was conducted at College Farm, College of Agriculture, Ambejogai, Dist., Beed to study the Performance of different levels of fertilizers along with biofertilizers on growth and yield of late sown wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The topography of experimental site was fairly uniform and levelled. The soil was clayey in texture, low in available nitrogen, medium in available phosphorus, high in available potassium and slightly alkaline in reaction. The environmental conditions prevailed during experimental period was normal for growth and yield of wheat crop. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with 8 treatments, three replications and with row spacing of 18 cm. The application of 125% RDF (100:50:50 NPK Kg ha-1) + Azotobactor + PSB recorded significantly higher plant height, number of functional leaves, leaf area, number of effective tillers plant-1, panicle length, dry matter, number of spikelets panicle-1, number of grains panicle-1, weight of grain panicle-1, grain yield and straw yield followed by the application of 125% RDF (100:50:50 NPK Kg ha-1) and 100% RDF (80:40:40 NPK Kg ha-1) + Azotobactor + PSB treatments. Lowest values regarding all the above observation receded in 50% RDF (40:20:20 NPK Kg ha-1).
