Abstract
The present investigation was carried out to study the soil fertility status of Parali and Ambajogai tahsil of Beed district during the year 2024-2025. For this purpose 50 representative soil samples were collected from soybean growing soils of five villages of each tahsil of Parali and Ambajogai tahsil. From each village five surface (0-15 cm depth) soil samples were collected and subjected to laboratory for analyzing chemical properties viz., pH, EC, organic carbon, calcium carbonate and available status of macro and micro nutrients viz., N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu. The correlation co-efficient between chemical properties and available nutrients were worked out. The study showed that the soils were neutral to alkaline in reaction, safe in limit of electrical conductivity, low to high in content of organic carbon and non calcareous to calcareous in nature. Available N and P levels were generally low. However, available K and S, Ex. Ca and Mg and DTPA-Cu were high in nature. The soils were found to be medium in DTPA-Fe, and Zn in Parali and Ambajogai tahsil, respectively. While, DTPA-Mn was medium in Parali tahsil and high in Ambajogai tahsil. Further, soil pH showed a significant and positive correlation with available nitrogen and available phosphorus but a significant and negative correlation with available sulphur, DTPA- Zn in Parali tahsil while, significant and positive correlation with available phosphorus and available potassium but a significant and negative correlation with DTPA- Zn and Cu in Ambajogai tahsil. Organic carbon showed significant and positive relationship with available N, available K in Parali tahsil whereas significant and positive relationship with available N, available P, available K and DTPA-Fe in Ambajogai tahsil.
