A field experiment entitled “Effect of clipping, plant growth regulators and weed management on summer sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)” was conducted during the summer seasons of 2022 and 2023 at the Instructional Farm, Department of Agronomy, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. The study aimed to evaluate the impact of clipping, plant growth regulators and weed management practices on the growth, yield, quality and economics of summer sesame under medium black calcareous soil. The experimental results revealed that significantly higher values of growth parameters viz., plant height, dry matter accumulation and the number of branches per plant were recorded with clipping at 45 DAS, foliar application of GA₃ @ 200 ppm at 50 DAS and The sequential application of pendimethalin 0.50 kg/ha PE followed by quizalofop-p-ethyl 0.05 kg/ha PoE.
