Nutritional?soil states are the foundation of productivity and sustainability of agro-ecosystems. Recent progress in studies of soil-plant interactions has elucidated the complex processes by?which nutrients are turned over, rendered bioavailable and taken up by plants. This paper aims to review latest research advances in optimization of?soil nutrient dynamics and to address synergistic relationships that exist among soil properties, microbial activity, root exudates and nutrient transport. Attention is?paid to innovative strategies (precision agriculture, biotechnological interventions, regenerative practices) aimed at improving nutrient use efficiency and minimizing environmental pollution. It is?essential to understand these dynamics to manage global food security and at the same time preserve nutritional security.
