A field experiment was conducted at the Student Instrumental Form of C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur-208002 (U.P.) during rabi 2022-2023 to the see response of seed treatment and methods of sowing in wheat under late sown condition. Results revealed that the seed treatments with 0.5% zinc solution in line sowing methods gave significantly higher growth attributes viz. Plant height, fresh weight, dry weight, number of tillers/m2, productive tillers/m2 and unproductive tillers/m2over rest seed treatment and sowing methods. The highest all observed yield attributes, yield viz. Seed yield of 49.23 and 45.75 q/ha and straw yield of 64.11 and 58.33 q/ha; maximum economic viz. Net return of Rs. 50588and Rs. 60852/ha and B:C ratio of 1.62 and 1.75 were obtained with seed treatment with 0.5% zinc solution in line sowing methods over seed treatment with 0.5% zinc solution in broadcasting methods of sowing (Rs. 37874 and Rs. 54622/ha and B:C ratio of 1.19 and 1.57) and. The response of seed treatment sowing in line were found significant in respect of tillers/m2 and productive tillers/m2 at maturity stage of crop over rest treatment in both methods of sowing, respectively. The seed treatment with 0.5% zinc sulphate and sowing line gave significantly higher all yield attributes and yields viz. Grain yield (47.98 and 47.98 q/ha), straw yield (59.73 and 59.24 q/ha), economics viz. Net return of Rs. 46226 and Rs. 62002/ha and B:C ratio of 1.50 and 1.78 than seed treatments like dry seed, water soaked seed, sprouted seeds, 2% salt solution, 0.2% urea solution sowing in both methods, respectively.
