A frontline demonstration was conducted at ten growers' fields in two town lets, Gadasaput and Gadabadaput of Sakhigopal, Puri, Odisha, to estimate the effectiveness of an intertwined weed operation approach under changing climatic conditions. Climate change has boosted challenges in crop product by altering downfall patterns, adding temperatures, and promoting the proliferation of weeds, which contend with crops for nutrients, water, and light. To address these challenges, the demonstration compared the pre-emergence operation of Pendimethalin 30 Imazethapyr 2 @ 1.0 kg/ ha (Ready blend) followed by a post-emergence operation of Quizalofop- p- ethyl @ 50 g/ ha at 20 days after sowing (DAS) with the growers' conventional practice of hand weeding at 35 DAS. The results showed that the demonstration treatment significantly bettered weed control effectiveness, leading to the loftiest recorded cover yield (20.7 q/ ha), net return (₹ 59,000/ ha), and return per rupee invested (₹ 2.33). The findings punctuate the significance of espousing climate- flexible agronomic practices similar as pesticide- grounded weed operation to sustain crop productivity, optimize resource use, and reduce the labour-intensive burden of handmade weeding under climate change- convinced misgivings.
