The present investigation entitled “Effect of foliar application of micronutrients on yield of turmeric” was carried out during kharif season 2023-24 at the Horticulture Research Cum Instructional Farm, Barrister Thakur Chhedilal College of Agriculture and Research Station, Bilaspur (C.G.). The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with three replications. The treatments consisted of ten nutrient management practices viz., Control (T1), RDF: 120:50:80 NPK (T2), Foliar Spray MnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 DAS (T3), Foliar Spray FeSO4 @ 0.5% 60 DAS (T4), Foliar Spray Borax @ 0.5% 60 DAS (T5), Foliar Spray ZnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 DAS (T6), Foliar Spray MnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS (T7), Foliar Spray FeSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS (T8), Foliar Spray Borax @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS (T9) and Foliar Spray ZnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS (T10). The experiment's findings showed that the treatment (T8) Foliar Spray FeSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS have registered higher growth, yield attributes and yield of turmeric crop, which was similar with (T7) Foliar Spray MnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS, (T9) Foliar Spray Borax @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS and (T10) Foliar Spray ZnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS. The next best treatment was (T4) Foliar Spray FeSO4 @ 0.5% 60 DAS, followed by (T3) Foliar Spray MnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 DAS, (T5) Foliar Spray Borax @ 0.5% 60 DAS and (T6) Foliar Spray ZnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 DAS. Significantly highest N, P, K and S uptake by turmeric plant and available N, P2O5, K2O and S in soil after harvest were tested under (T8) Foliar Spray FeSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS. In turmeric rhizome, significantly the highest available Mn was tested in soil under the treatment plot (T7) Foliar Spray MnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS. The maximum amount of accessible Fe in the soil underneath the treatment plot (T8) Foliar Spray FeSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS. The treatment plot (T10) Foliar Spray ZnSO4 @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS exhibited the maximum accessible Zn in the soil. The maximum amount of accessible B in the soil underneath the treatment plot (T9) Foliar Spray Borax @ 0.5% 60 & 90 DAS. Soil chemical properties viz., EC, pH and organic carbon of soil after harvest of turmeric crop, tested non-significant variation between the nutrient management practices.
