To study the performance of biochar and Rice residues on yield and quality parameter of groundnut crop in sandy loam soil

GR Rathiya

An experiment was conducted to study Effect of crop residue management on soil health and productivity of groundnut in Inceptisol under rice- groundnut cropping system during Rabi-summer season. Treatment consisted of three organic (FYM, Rice residue and Rice biochar). Two levels of chemical fertilizers (75% and 100% GRD) replicated thrice in Randomized block design. Combined application of different organic sources and chemical fertilizers significantly influences the groundnut yield. Application of Rice residues 5 ton per hectare, Rice biochar 2.5 ton per hectare 75% recommended nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium with 6% urea spray recorded the highest seed yield, Oil content and protein content than Application of Rice residues 5 ton per hectare, Rice biochar 2.5 ton per hectare 75% recommended nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.
