Rhizoctonia solani f. sp. sasakii, is the most destructive soil borne pathogen. Banded leaf and sheath blight (BLSB) disease caused by Rhizoctonia solani f. sp. sasakii, capable of infecting maize at all growth stages starting from seedling to maturity and causes severe yield loss in maize crop. Use of synthetic chemicals lead to several adverse effects hence Management through fungicides has become inevitable. Cow based natural products (CBNP) were tested for eco-friendly management of the disease. Propiconazole @ 0.1% was used as standard fungicide check for comparison. Among all the treatments panchagavya was found significantly superior in inhibiting the radial growth of the pathogen at all concentration (0.00 cm) followed by cow urine @ 10, 15% (0.00 cm) and cow dung + cow urine @ 15% (0.00 cm). which can be used further in strengthening the plant protection in maize against banded leaf and sheath blight.
