An experiment was carried out at Crop Research Farm of National Post Graduate College, Barhalganj, Gorakhpur, (U P.) During Rabi season on (2022-2023) the soil of the experimental field was silty loam in texture with low, medium and high in N, P and K respectively. The experimental site is situated in subtropical zone in indo gangetic planes. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with 8 treatment combinations and 3 replications. Barley was shown on 3rd December 2022 with treatment combinations viz T1 Control, T2 50% RD of NPK (50-30-30) kg, T3 75% RD of NPK (75-45-45) kg, T4 100% RD of NPK (100-60-60) kg, T5 50% RD of NPK + (20 kg ZnSO4), T6 50% RD of NPK + 5 tons FYM + (20 kg ZnSo4), T7 75% NPK + 5 tons FYM + (20 kg ZnSo4), T8 100% NPK+ 5 tons FYM + (20 kg ZnSo4). The crop was harvested on 5th April 2023. The result indicated that the treatment combination T7 75% NPK + 5t FYM + (20 kg ZnSo4) was registered significantly superior in terms of plant height, number of tillers, dry weight(gm), test weight(gm), Harvest index(%), grain yield(q ha-1), straw yield(q ha-1), gross return (Rs/ ha) and net return (Rs / ha.), respectively over rest of the treatments. Integrated use of organic manures along with optimum doses of chemical fertilizers increased the growth parameters and yield of Barley.
