Analysis of trend is useful to examine the long-term trends in rainfall and temperature and it would enhance the management and effective utilization of water resources. The present study has been undertaken in fifty-eight tahsils of the Pune, Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Solapur district to study rainfall and temperature trend using Mann-Kendall Test. The results indicate a significant increasing trend in annual rainfall, maximum temperature and minimum temperature in 20, 3 and 58 tahsils, respectively. Decreasing trends were observed in annual rainfall in 14 tahsils and annual maximum temperature in 13 tahsils. Notably, no tahsils recorded a decreasing trend in annual minimum temperature during the period 1982–2021.
