Abstract
The experiment was conducted during 2023-24 at the Horticulture Research Farm-1, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, India. This study evaluates the impact of Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) on the growth and root yield of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) cv. Kashi Sweta, following a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with nine treatments and three replications under the agro-climatic conditions of Lucknow. The treatments included varying combinations of inorganic fertilizers (Recommended Dose of Fertilizers - RDF), farmyard manure (FYM), and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB). Results indicated that treatment T8 (50% RDF + 25% PSB + 25% FYM) significantly outperformed other treatments, achieving the highest germination rate (96.01%), plant height (37.20 cm), number of leaves (13.21), leaf length (29.65 cm), and fresh plant weight (98.26 g) at 60 days after sowing (DAS). Yield attributes such as root length (22.11 cm), root weight (194.36 g), root diameter (3.61 cm), root volume (226.30 cc), and root yield per plot (4.15 kg) were also maximized under T8. The control (T0) consistently exhibited the lowest values across all parameters. These findings emphasize the efficacy of INM, particularly the integration of 50% RDF, 25% PSB, and 25% FYM, in enhancing the growth and productivity of radish.
