Abstract
A Front Line Demonstration (FLD) on the influence of phosphorus solubilising bacteria (PSB) on yield and economics of paddy grown on high P soils was conducted during two consecutive years i.e., Rabi, 2023-24 and 2024-25 in seven farmer’s field at Nalgonda District of Telangana. The selected farmer’s fields were rated as high in available phosphorus. Application of PSB @ 2 kg ha-1 in high P soils along with 75% recommended dose of phosphorus (45 kg P2O5 ha-1) increased the grain yield by 4.25% over farmers practice (77.1 kg P2O5 ha-1) beside reducing cost of cultivation by Rs. 2090/- ha-1. Combined application 75% RDP+ PSB has recorded higher gross, net returns and BC ratio.
