Abstract
A field experiment entitled Effect of Different Types of Vermicompost and Nitrogen Levels on Growth, Yield and Quality of Sweet Corn (Zea mays L. saccharata)” was conducted during the summer season of 2025 at the Agronomy Farm, College of Agriculture, Pune. The findings shows that the integrated treatment combining 50% RDN through RDF + 50% RDN through tree litter vermicompost (T₁) consistently recorded the greatest plant height and maximum dry matter accumulation at all growth stages, performing significantly better than most other treatments and remaining statistically at par with the combination of 50% RDN through RDF + 50% RDN through button mushroom spent vermicompost (T₃) and the treatment with RDF (120:60:40 N: P₂O₅: K₂O kg ha⁻¹) + 5 t vermicompost ha⁻¹ (T₁₀). The number of functional leaves and phenological stages like days to 50% tasseling, days to 50% silking and days to maturity showed no significant statistical differences, indicating that the type of vermicompost had limited influence on these traits
