A field experimentation was conducted to study the influence of foliar application of plant nutrition on growth and yield of cotton MCU 5 at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Kudumiyanmalai, during kharif season of 2020 and 2021. The experiment was laidout in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) comprising seven treatments replicated thrice under rainfed condition. The experimental results revealed that the treatment imposed as foliar application of MgSO4 1.0% + ZnSO4 0.5% three times respectively at flowering, squaring and boll development stages increased distinctly higher plant height, Monopodia/plant, Sympodia/plant, dry matter production, number of bolls/plant, boll weight, number of fruiting points/plant and therefore it influenced the seed cotton yield (2069 kg/ha) over rest of foliar application treatments.
