Field experiment was conducted at Regional Research Station, TNAU, Vridhachalam during Summer 2023 and Summer 2024 to optimize the nutrient requirement of newly released monostem sesame variety VRI 5. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design and replicated four times. The experiment involves six set of treatments with basal application of NPK in different ratios and combination with foliar spray of nutrients at early budding and early capsule formation stage. Application of 35:23: 23 kg NPK/ha followed by foliar spray of 19: 19: 19 @ 1% + K2SO4 @ 0.5% + MnSO4 @ 0.5% at early budding and early capsule formation stagerecorded higher yield attributes and seed yield (742 kg/ha).
