Impact of vermiwash and fertilizer combinations on growth, nutrient uptake and protein content in greengram

To evaluate the effect of fertilizers and foliar spray of vermiwash on growth, protein content and nutrient uptake of greengram. A field experiment was carried out at College Farm, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad during rabi season of 2023-2024. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. From the study, it was found that the application of 100% RDF + foliar spray of 3% vermiwash at preflowering stage resulted in significantly higher growth parameters, nodulation count and NPK uptake which was statistically on par with the application of 100% RDF with foliar spray of vermiwash 3% at podformation stage. Seed NPK uptake was higher with the application of 100% RDF + foliar spray of vermiwash 3% at podformation stage. Control treatment recorded the lowest values for the all parameters.
