A study on, “Regression model developed using climatic parameters on onion (Allium cepa L.) crop in Marathwada region” to work out the weather/climatic parameter for rabi Onion crop with an area, production and productivity in selected district during 2013-2022. These data were converted in to the average growing period of Rabi onion crop (36 SMW to 48 SMW) on the basis of area, production and productivity.
The correlation in between variable parameter (i.e. Rainfall, Maximum and Minimum temperature, Morning and evening Relative humidity) and non-variable parameters (i.e. area, production and productivity) found quietly significant. It showed that the weather parameter Maximum temperature (0.52*) and morning Relative humidity (0.53*) are positively correlated with an area and other variable found to be non-significant with production and productivity in Parbhani district followed by Aurangabad district maximum temperature (0.72**) and minimum temperature (0.78**). It Showed that the direct significantly effect on area respectively. Whereas, in Nanded and Aurangabad district production found to be almost negatively and positively significant with T max. (-052* and 0.60**) and productivity was (0.75**) positively correlated with evening relative humidity (RH-II).
As compared to other district the R2 value of T min. (0.93**) and T max. (0.92**) was highly significant at 1% and 5% level of significant at production and productivity respectively.
