Abstract
The research study aims to investigate how different nutrient management strategies influences nitrogen content of rice at various stages and plant growth pattern of different rice varieties. This experiment conducted at Crop Research Center of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut (U.P) in kharif season of 2022 & 2023. This study examines comparative analysis of plant samples at 30, 60, 90 DAT for major nutrient (N) as well as their impact on growth patterns such as plant height, number of tillers, crop growth rate of basmati rice. Key findings reveal interlink between nutrient content in plant, plant physiological processes and growth responses while highlighting the importance of tailored nutrient management strategies for maximizing crop performance and stability. The results showed that higher plant height, tillers density and crop growth rate is observed with T4 - Integrated nutrient management (50% through inorganics viz. Urea, DAP, MOP + 50% through Organics viz. Farm Yard Manure, Vermicompost, Poultry manure) this enhanced growth development of rice caused due to T4, which received organic manures as basal dose which supplied initial slow demand of nutrients for crop growth, later two split doses were given through inorganic fertilizers at active tillering and panicle initiation stages where rice plants demand for nutrients is high, the plant growth rate at 60-90 DAT might be due to optimized supply of nutrients & their readily available & soluble forms.
