Abstract
The Present investigation entitled “Effect of weed management practices on performance of weeds in the kharif transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.) in Vertisols of Chhattisgarh’’ was conducted at the Research Cum Instructional Farm, Dau Kalyan Singh College of Agriculture and Research Station, Bhatapara (C.G.) during Kharif season 2023. In order to assess the effects of several weed management techniques on weed flora and weed growth on transplanted rice. According to the treated plots Bensulfuron methyl + Pretilachlor (Premix) 60+600 g ha-1 at 0-3 DAT fb Bispyribac Na 25 g ha-1 at 20-25 DAT (T12) recorded lowest weed density (No. m-2) and lowest weed dry matter accumulation (g m-2) at 30, 60 and 90 DAT with highest weed control efficiency (%) at 30, 60 and 90 DAT (82.42, 84.02 and 82.75) and lowest weed index (%) (4.33). This is comparable to Pyrazosulfuron ethyl 20 g ha-1 at 0-3 DAT fb Bispyribac Na 25 g ha-1 at 20-25 DAT (T11).
