The objective of this study was to examine the yield gap between improved practices and traditional methods of groundnut cultivation during the rabi season from 2022-23 to 2023-24 in CFLDs. The data revealed that the average pod yield from CFLDs was 3016.5 kg/ha, which is 21.07% higher than the average yield of 2491.5 kg/ha from conventional farming practices. We observed an average extension gap of 525 kg/ha, a technology gap of 483.5 kg/ha, and a technology index of 13.8%. In terms of financial outcomes, improved practices yielded an average gross return of Rs. 194852.5/ha and a net return of Rs. 115416.5/ha, along with a favorable benefit-cost ratio of 2.45. Additionally, the improved practices generated an extra average gross return of Rs. 19184.5/ha, with a reduced cost of cultivation of Rs. 8531.5/ha, leading to a net return of Rs. 27841/ha and an impressive incremental benefit-cost ratio of 2.25. This shift was notably linked to the adoption of improved variety like Kadiri Lepakshi (K1812) in contrast to traditional varieties.
