Abstract
A field experiment entitled “Effect of foliar application of nano urea, nano DAP and growth regulator on growth, yield and quality of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) under inceptisol.” Was carried out at experimental farm, department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, College of Agriculture, Badnapur during Rabi 2023-24. The field trial was conducted in Randomised Block Design with ten treatments (T1) Absolute control, (T2) 100% NPK (RDF), (T3) 75%RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS, (T4) 75%RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano DAP + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS, (T5) 75%RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + nano DAP 45 DAS, (T6) 75%RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + nano DAP + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS, (T7) 50% RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS, (T8) 50% RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano DAP + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS, (T9) 50% RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + nano DAP 45 DAS and (T10) 50% RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + nano DAP + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS which was included with three replications. According to the result obtained by the field investigation clearly indicated that the growth, yield, quality, nutrient content and uptake were significantly impacted due to foliar spray of nano urea, nano DAP and growth regulator along with 75% NPK. The significantly highest plant height (54.17 cm), number of branches (6.13), number of pods plant-1 (35.61), maximum grain and straw yield (1538.89 and 3663.20 kg ha-1) at harvest were recorded in treatment (T6) 75%RDF + 0:52:34 (0.5% spray) + nano Urea + nano DAP + GA 50 ppm 45 DAS. In the context of grain quality, the findings indicated that higher protein content (24.04%) was also found in same treatment.
