Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Agronomy Farm, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat, India. during Kharif season of the years 2023 to study the “Effect of different nutrient management practices on growth, yield and quality of groundnut”. The ten treatments of different Nutrient sources viz., (T1) Control (12-25-00 NPK kg/ha), (T2) 100% N through FYM, (T3) 100% N through Vermicompost, (T4) 100% N through Castor cake, (T5) 50% N through inorganic fertilizer + 50 % N through FYM, (T6) 50% N through inorganic fertilizer + 50 % N through Vermicompost, (T7) 50% N through inorganic fertilizer + 50 % N through Castor cake, (T8) Ghan jivamrut 1000 kg/ha + seed treatment Bijamrut (300 ml/kg seed) + soil application of Jivamrut 500 lit/ha at the time of sowing and every 15 days Interval + 5.0 t/ha straw mulch, (T9) Ghan jivamrut 1000 kg/ha + seed treatment Bijamrut (300 ml/kg seed) + soil application of Jivamrut 500 lit/ha at the time of sowing and every 21 day interval+ 5.0 t/ha straw mulch, (T10) Ghan jivamrut 1000 kg/ha + seed treatment Bijamrut (300 ml/kg seed) + soil application of Jivamrut 500 lit/ha at the time of sowing and every 30 day interval + 5.0 t/ha straw mulch were tested in Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. In the pod yield of groundnut treatment T5 (50% N through inorganic fertilizer + 50 % N through FYM), showed significantly higher pod yield (2875 kg/ha), higher haulm yield (7456 kg/ha), higher root nodule per plant, higher pods per plant and higher mature pods per plant.
