Abstract
Alternative resource conservation remedies have received a lot of attention in an effort to maintain productivity and boost farmers' profit margins from maize crops. Several strategies for resource conservation have been established in an attempt to lessen the negative effects of the traditional cropping system. Changing from rice to maize production is evidence of resource conservation technologies. More focus is required to hasten the adoption of economical and environmentally friendly crop management techniques, such as ridge and furrow, conventional flat bed and raised-bed planting in light of the preservation of natural resources. As a result, this reviews attempts to discuss the various crop establishment techniques, including raised-bed planting, standard flat bed, ridge and furrow methods. These are recent improved crop establishment techniques that can be used under specific agro-ecological conditions for enhancing yield and resource conservation.
