Abstract
The field experiment was conducted at the Horticulture Research farm of Mansarovar Global University Sehore Madhya Pradesh, during the year 2022-23 and 2023-24. To study the effect organic and inorganic manure on growth, yield & economics of onion cv. Agrifound Dark Red under MP region. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with three replications. The maximum plant height (42.24 cm), number of leaves (9.05), doubling (15.52), bolting (13.52), yield per plot (4.45kg), were recorded under T9-(50% RDF + 50% poultry manure) treatments. Application of T9-(50% RDF + 50% poultry manure) may be considered as best treatment followed by treatment T7-50% RDF + 50% FYM and T5-Poultrymanure @ 10 MT/ha in terms of all growth and yield characters and economics of the treatment such as higher cost of cultivation (T6) and followed by (T10), Net return Rs.136175 ha-1) In treatment (T9) and followed by (T8) and higher benefit: cost ratio (1:3.10) in treatment (T9).
