A study titled effect of tuber divisions as propagules on tuber yield and quality of calla lily cv. Captain Murano was conducted during 2023-24 at Floricultural Research Station, Rajendranagar, and Hyderabad. The research aimed to access the effect of different sizes of tubers on tuber yield. The experiment followed a Randomized Block Design (RBD). Notably the study found that T7: 7-8 cm tuber diameter recorded maximum tuber yield per plant (107.00 g), tuber yield per square meter (1177.00 g), tuber diameter after harvest (9.63 cm), number of tuberlets per plant (8.27) compared to other treatments. While, minimum tuber yield per plant (48.00 g), tuber yield per square meter (528.00 g), tuber diameter after harvest (4.15 cm), number of tuberlets per plant (1.22) was observed in T1: < 2 cm tuber diameter. Among all the treatments, maximum percentage increase of tuber diameter (170.82%) was recorded in T2: < 2 cm tuber diameter. Notably the study on benefit cost ratio, among different treatments, it was revealed that T7: 7-8 cm diameter recorded maximum benefit cost ratio (2.29:1) followed by T6: 6-7 cm diameter (2.01:1) as compared to other treatments. From the results it can be concluded that, among all the treatments T4: 4-6 cm tuber diameter to T7: 7-8 cm tuber diameter recorded significantly maximum tuber parameters and best benefit cost ratio.
