Abstract
A field experiment was carried out during 2023-24 at Horticultural Research Station, Dr. Y. S. R. Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh to study the impact of nano fertilizers of magnesium and iron on growth and yield of parthenocarpic cucumber. Results revealed that foliar spray of nano magnesium oxide @ 100 mg l-1 + nano ferrous oxide @ 100 mg l-1 on 20th and 40th day after transplanting significantly increased the growth parameters like vine length (218.90 cm), number of leaves per plant (31.97), leaf area per plant (685.43 cm2) and yield parameters viz., number of fruits per vine (18.00), fruit set (80.60 %), days to first harvest (42.10), yield per plant (3.46 kg), estimated yield (69.12 t/ha) and economics (B: C ratio of 2.26:1). So it can be concluded that nano fertilizer application of magnesium and iron twice as foliar spray improved the plant growth and yield of cucumber and that it can be used as an alternative to mineral fertilizers.
