The article examines the actual state of water and land resources. The degree of suitability of the country's land fund for agricultural production is being studied (of course, the degree of their erosion, which greatly affects the quality and productivity of agricultural crops), recognizing that Azerbaijan is the largest country in the South Caucasus both in terms of population (8.8 million people) and area (8.66 million hectares), it ranks last in terms of water resources and second in terms of water resources.
